MY NEW OFFICE

SURROUNDED BY ALL MY LOVELY THINGS



It feels like it has taken me forever to finally get my office together. It use to be a large walk in pantry, I found it to be a bit of a waste so I set out to make it into an office, small but useful, I'm so happy the way it has turned out and just love spending time in here.

I have a lot of some of you in here with me such as my beautiful sign from Natasha WENDY'S WORLD! Nikki's lovely ballerina collage. I brought my Sweetie (mannequin) & cone from the ever so talented Heather. Sweetie travelled all the way from US and is with me every time I'm in the office, and when ever I need an opinion she amazingly agrees with me.












The divine soaps, O I wish you could smell them, cards, beautiful crystal draw knobs & little paper weights are from the lovely Ali. Now look at my magnificent painted tin I have another white one in my kitchen from our creative Lori who I also brought the most darling birdies that sit on a spoon.

The Stunning charms, linen journals and needle cushions and laundry bags that you can see in my cupboard are all hand made from the finest linens just perfect by the very special Cathy Penton. I love to show off my to die for
(but you can't have it) crown and wand made for me with this beautiful gold W of course its from Natasha!!


I have some gorgeous boxes from Kris, special journals made just for me by Natasha I Love them they are my favourite, I have a passion for them and the one thing I just love to do is write








Take as long as you like to cast your eyes on my Exquisite Fairy hand made from the delightful Ginny who was so kind to make this special fairy for me, I will always cherish her, and have wanted her for so long since Ginny's did one for Natasha's match box swap,I so appreciate not only the beautiful work Ginny has created buy the time taken out from her day just for me to have her.













Well their you have it I'm sure their are many other special things you can see from so many talented and creative women that I admire very much, but it would be impossible to name everyone, just know that you are all a part of my daily journal writing sitting here on my chair.













I have a very special doll arriving soon, O the very thought of it and the story behind her gives me the warmest feeling inside and some other things from my forever friend Natasha, also some very special gift that will be opened at Christmas from the sweet sweet Ali, but you will have to wait for them to be added in a Christmas spot in Wendy's World.

BEAUTIFUL NATASHA AND KATHY

A DAY TO ALWAYS REMEMBER















Wednesday 14th November 2007

I traveled up to the lovely Eumundi Markets to meet my friends Natasha & Kathy for the first time, I had been emailing both ladies and buying their beautiful creations for such a long time but had never meet them in person.

You can image my excitement I had been counting down the days since Natasha told me she would be visiting the most lovely Kathy in the whole world and would I like to join them at the markets. Well as you now know I jumped leaped arranged everything months ago to ensure I would be there, even told my staff they had to be DEAD! to not turn up for work that day LOL! so everyone knew I was off to meet my dear friends.



So after a little late start off I drove I had never been to the market before so of cause I took the wrong turn and got myself a little lost, but the old road I found myself on was a lovely drive and I saw a little shop I thought I might stop at on the way back.





Well the moment had arrived and their they were in front of me I wanted to squeeze them so tight with excitement but thought a little hug would be better since I had the day to spend with them and they would need to be able to breathe to do that!! so control over came me and after receiving all my goodies from the most beautiful Natasha in the whole world we were off to do some damage to keep our banks happy.



The market was unbelievable so much to see and not enough time, besides we were all to busy catching up laughing eating Mmmmmmmmmm lunch was so good. I brought some new shoes ear rings a little girl for the garden with a watering can and a beautiful table all of these you can see below.




Time yes it goes to fast, and for me sadness, as it was time to say goodbye two my friends who made my day so enjoyable that I will Cherish and smile about it each time I remember our day at Eumundi.

Now on the way home from the markets I stopped at very little town called Yandina, their was a little second hand store were I was so lucky to buy all these lovely things you see on my beautiful new table. Be sure to check out the price of my beautiful doll, Yes I know $20.00 wow I grabbed her and didn't let go!! I also got this divine vase just love it, some lovely crystal bowls and little tins. All these wonderful things only cost a total of $38.00

I'm so into this market shopping now the girls have sure changed me, off to two more this weekend and they are right here in Buderim on a Sunday and I never knew, where have I been!LOL

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN! I was about to post all about my wonderful time I had had with Natasha and Kathy, when I went to check out Natasha's Prom!! WELL say no more it was way out of "Wendy's World".

Once the music started my Love of all times Shane came to see where the great songs were coming from and stayed through the whole presentation of all the blogs who had joined in on the fun.

You were all amazing and so creative with your ideas we just had so much fun looking back and bopping along to the music!! THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH FOR SHARING.

NOW IF SHANE AND I COULD HAVE GONE TO THE PROM WITH YOU AND HAD SOME MUSIC TO PLAY, WE WOULD CHOOSE THE SONG

Joel Shane Benson born 5 weeks early


Our beautiful Son born so fragile and not knowing how to breathe finally made it through with our love and strength. O what a fright he gave us, a little miracle to begin with, now 23 years on and his 6ft 5inch after all that stress!LOL

So blessed to have such a loving Son who always thinks of others first, his sharp witty personality make me laugh everyday (takes after his father)! I call him my quiet achiever. Joel has followed his Dad in Swim Coaching after a remarkable swimming career winning medals and State Country & National Level qualifying for both the Commonwealth & Olympic Trials.

Joel gives a great deal of his time teaching underprivileged children for free he once raised over $15,000 for a skate park for a community where children only had the streets to play in. His swimming career money has always been donated back to children or clubs knowing they will enjoy life so much more playing on their skateboards then hanging around the streets.

In the year 2000 special Medals were handed out from the Queen by our Prime Minister Joel was awarded one at Government House for his work and contribution to children of small community towns and for his outstanding swimming achievements, we are so very proud of him.


Our little fellow who sees everything has a silver lining and a happy ending!!

I was so scared to open the ring as I really wanted to pick it out together, but wow 25 Diamonds!! Never would have went that BIG, so between you and me so glad he did. Sorry I'm to excited to write more, after all I have A WEDDING TO PLAN!!!

First I flew to Canberra then hired a car to drive down the south coast for our Best Mans 50th Birthday party, he had no idea we were coming so it was a HUGE Surprise for him.

Wow I forgot how much fun we had with all our dear friends, you see his wife Jen never told us or the others that we were all coming, so we thought our other 4 friends who always hung around could not make it! and they were told the same about us, so the fun really begun as soon as we all saw each other.

They have always been such party people, however me...Well 3 drinks and I will tell you everything LOL!and from the photos they sent me I think I told them more then that!!

I'm back Girlfriends!

Where have I been you ask? Well don't.... it is far toooo long a story!

However the short of it is a very dear friend stopped through on her way north and I talked them into staying the night the ended in 3 nights LOL We talked until 3am every night and although tired I Loved every minute.

So you can image the amount of work I had to catch up on! O yes you guessed right much bigger then "Ben Hur" How big is that anyway!!!!

Tonight I decided to catch up on my blogging! a weeks worth so sit back as I have more photos of our home "Serenity". Some of the best parts of her are all the different places to seat and relax think sleep read or just drift away in dream time, my wrap around verandas are special for just enjoying the view.

"IT GOES BY IN A BLINK"

OUR BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER


Yesterday it was our Choni's Birthday and as always the memories of years gone by come flooding back. From the day she was born their was and elegance about her always bright happy and full of life.

Schooling for Chontele was one achievement after another nothing less them credits or distinctions she has always had a love of knowledge and never without a pen or book in her hand. I always remember one comment a teacher wrote on her report once it said:... I ask the class one day to write down where they would most like to live with 99% answering near the beach, Chontele said.. right next door to the Library LOL.

Today Choni is no different she has had poems published a poster for abused children winning her an Australin Day Award any many other awards and medals for representing her State at National level in swimming.

Raising Choni has just been such a beautiful experience and so proud of her, even when in her teens she went through a period of slamming her bedroom door, Shane said to her, if you slam that door one more time I will take it off. Well of course she did, and sure enough he took the door off,LOL. The shock that he had actually removed it was enough to erace that habit, but she responed with not speaking to her father until he put it back on!!! So after 3 days, "Shane" not Choni, could'nt handle it anymore so he put it back on, so funny!! but that was her she could always hold out the longest, and if by chance that door would slam after that, she would yell out, sorry Dad, it was the wind, he would say ok love, Yeah right I would think as their wasn't even a breeze in sight!!

No matter what age she is, she will always be Daddy's little Girl!! and my ony daughter and through the years my closest friend.

she lives on Elizamay Close and makes us feel very secure and happy. We embrace each new day as the sunrises in front of us.

Just as our garden brings us something special to admire everyday, we two enjoy the change that surrounds us, such as a daiquiri in summer or a port & coffee in the winter while sitting on the veranda as we watch her grow older with us.

Natasha"s paintings are second to none, I have a beautiful piece specially painted of my home for Shane and anyone that looks at it always comments... "Wow" what an Artist!!

I have so many beautiful items around my house from Nikki and as always when my order arrives I'm like a little girl again, knowing they will be wrapped so pretty tied with ribbon just like Christmas morning. That's not all, their will always be something I have not ordered,... a special gift just from her to me.

So its like this: I TRIED AND TRIED AND TRIED SOME MORE!! To post three photos of my new little office, and YES you guessed it again, "Was I a Woman or a Mouse" Mmmmm out came the cheese!! Put my jimmy jam jams on and off to sleepy bow bows I went!! Laid my head upon my bed and couldn't sleep a wink. YEP right again, Back to Wendy's World I went wondering what went wrong, and all of a sudden just like "Dora" I DID IT!!!!! but please don't ask me how, cause I really don't know! LOL

And the words go like this "One out of Three ant Bad"

MEANWHILE in Wendy's World I have been to Perth here in Australia, off to the USA, over to England, and few other trips here and there to drop some little thank yous to all of you, so if you haven't heard from me yet! Well as they say tomorrow is another Day my friends.

The most beautiful Shane in the Whole World was so excited today as he was blessed with some new "Babies" well that's what he called them, Ya just gotta love him! they are really called, of course just between you and me girlfriends, "ORCHIDS" now this bit is very important, he has been growing this ONE yes One plant for TWO YEARS, OK and this is the very first time it has flowered, and flower it did, it is really beautiful, and if I was a great blogger I would send you all a wee little photo, so maybe you should put your hands together in the praying position and say a prayer that it doesn't take me TWO Years to show you the photo!LOL not!! This is where you tell me it does get easier!!

Now just this minute I have by accident seen a little square on the top of the page that came up add image, so if by chance you said that pray for me I'm going to click on it and see if this is how you put a photo on here. However if I should Blog Off so to speak, well you will know I have once again failed in my attempt! and I will go to the kitchen and eat more cheese!!! SO HERE I GO.......

A LITTLE BIT MORE

THE START

"CELEBRATION"

ITS A W DAY FOR ME!!

W for "WOW WHAT A WARM WONDERFUL WELCOME"

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments and joining me on my first blog. Here I was just hopping for maybe one person to say, "Hello There" and secretly just between you girlfriends me and Natasha... a certain Spunk Doctor might even have a blog and blog me, so to speak!! LOL (fill you in at my next Doctor's visit).
But O' know it was the big "W" Day for me!!

After signing in, excitement turn to a "Celebration" of finding you all, with warm wishes and offers of encouragement and friendship, you sure do know how to bring a girl to who knees LOL!

So now I guess I should come clean and tell you, I have been so use to checking out Natasha's blog and then around the World I would go with many others, That, Yes you guessed it!! I forgot I had one now too LOL a Lot!! how bad is that! OK Ok that's enough I hear you.

Meantime when my brain tuned into my menopausal body and said HELLO remember you have a blog! the rush of blood was almost to much that I even forgot my own password so after 4 attempts and giving myself an uppercut, I remembered what is was and as they say the rest is history!

While I'm on the M word, has anyone ever thought about how certain words that affect only us Woman start with MEN, such as Men o pause and Men st ruate and Men tal and Men U and Men tor and even Men ace Mmmmmm Men do have a lot to answer too when you think about it, And yet we still Love em.

Anyway back on track, I'm in the middle of changing my little office in Wendy's World and must say its starting to come together nicely I have a few more things to add that will come from the very talented Natasha, one wall yet to be painted then by jolly jumbo jets I will be finished, O ya praise myself for my hard work!! So I thought I would bring you girlfriends along for the viewing, so here is a little taste and then the show all will come at a later maybe sooner date.

Now if for some chance you get to see, well nothing, you will know my first photo session in blogland was a disaster and I shall seek help for the mental stress it shall cause me!

"SURPRISE"

HELLO EVERYONE

How exciting I have my very own blog, not sure how interesting it will be as , I don't sew, paint, do craft work or make anything special like you all do. Whoops I did make a matchbox for my friend Renee when I joined Natasha's swap!! And covered a few boxes LOL!

So I guess all I have to offer you is my friendship and bits of my daily life. I have shared some things about me and what makes my world go round that some of you may not have known before.

I hope you will visit me some time and leave a comment as I think I will need all the help I can get. Should you want to ask me any questions or see a little of my world here in beautiful Australia, please feel free to ask.

This very special blog would not be possible without the help and encouragement of my very inspirational friend Natasha, who by the way I will meet for the first time in 30 days and counting!!.
