1st February 1977 Journal entryI Wrote: I'm in love love love, his name is Shane a friend of Steve's we met today on the beach his a National Swimmer and loves to surf and he thinks I'm hot!!! so Steve said, wants me to go to the beach party tonight, of cause I said Cooley sure, rang Brenda she will come with me it's 5 o clock already have to get ready talk tomorrow my friend.

My Friend have I got some BIG NEWS for you!! Today Shane asked me to marry him O of cause I said yes yes yes. I was so scared to open the ring as I really wanted to pick it out together, but wow 25 Diamonds!! Never would have went that BIG, so between you and me so glad he did. Sorry I'm to excited to write more, after all I have A WEDDING TO PLAN!!!

Today I recieved the most beautiful flowers from Shane, my card read. Tonight its Offical You wear my ring I give you this with everything, I want you now I cannot wait, I will wed you on any date.
